The Department of Computer Science was established in 1998 with MSCs and MPCs in 2004, B.com (Computers) in 1997 & B.Com (Hons) in 1997, and B.com(Comp Appl.) in 2010 were added. The intake has gradually increased to 120 with two sections by the year 2006. The department has formed full-fledged in 2008.

The department has well qualified, experienced, young and dynamic faculty members. The teaching staff is actively engaged in various activities like seminars/workshops on the latest developments and arranging internships, industrial visits and expert lectures for the benefit of the students in collaboration with other departments. The department is planning to organize training programs and certification courses for students to develop excellence in the field of Information Technology.

The department has good infrastructure facilities with full-fledged laboratories and each lab has latest high configuration systems. Computer labs are being shared with other departments like English, Commerce, and Statistics etc.

The College library not only has several Computer Science books but also magazines and journals for students and faculty. Various computer journals are available online through the university library.

Every year our students achieve positions and get campus placements. i.e More than 50% of our students get absorbed in decent jobs immediately after their completion through placements.
